Heather Reed has been a Colorado educator for 17 years and has earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. For much of her career, she focused on teaching primary grades and is currently serving her district as an elementary instructional coach. Heather deeply believes that when teachers implement practices grounded in the science of reading and use data to make informed decisions about students, that they can teach all kids to be fluent readers. Heather values professional development, collaboration, and goal setting. She is dedicated to supporting teachers in becoming the best version of themselves they can be so they can have a lasting impact on student achievement. Her ability to deliver learning about complex structures in a simple and understandable way allows her to cultivate relationships with teachers that leads to shifts in practice. When Heather is not coaching, she enjoys jeeping with her husband, watching her daughter compete in gymkhanas with her horse, Remi, and crafting.
