Misti Woltz is an educational consultant who holds a master’s degree in special education and an administration license. Over the past eighteen years, Misti has taught and coached a wide range of audiences, from elementary general education students, students identified or at risk of being identified with significant reading deficiencies (SRD), students identified with disabilities or in the process of being identified with disabilities, to professional educators and administrative colleagues in PreK-12th grades. Through her varied experiences, she has learned that research-based, good instructional strategies can be applied at all levels of teaching and learning for all students. Misti believes that building capacity in leaders and educators will improve outcomes for every student. Through her work in designing professional development courses, she ensures that research-based strategies transfer into actionable tools that teachers can use in their classrooms. Misti’s collaboration style and strong facilitation skills allow her to easily work with different teams, including building and district level administrators, coaches and grade level teams, support staff and individual teachers. Misti is a wife and mother to two boys who play competitive baseball. If Misti is not in a school she is usually watching her boys play ball.
