My name is Nicole Whitney, and I am an instructional consultant for STRIVE. I live in East Glacier Park, Montana with my wonderful husband, daughter, and dog. We love to get outside together as a family in Glacier National Park, Flathead National Forest, and the Blackfeet Reservation where we have lived and worked for many years. I spent a decade working in Browning, Montana where I learned how to implement systematic, explicit instruction while also meeting students where they are emotionally, socially, and culturally. As a consultant, I specialize in early literacy instruction and building sustainable systems to increase and maintain student achievement in literacy. I’ve seen first-hand the benefits of working as a team to build collective teacher efficacy and how that work positively impacts students. I strive to build teachers’ knowledge of best instructional practices and data analysis, so they are confident in their decision-making. I believe that when teachers are supported, students thrive.
