I had a very rewarding career as an English teacher at all levels of high school, a teacher educator, and a university professor. I made it a point to focus on the most current research-based strategies and tools as I taught reading and writing with all the components as essential communication skills. I believe that learners, with these effective skills, can discover meaning for themselves and create sense of the world around them. I’m eager to help support the goal of rewarding effective literacy teacher and leaders.
