I spent my teaching career as a primary teacher in a rural Idaho setting. Because reading and writing are the essential survival skills, I felt responsible for discovering varied strategies to reach each child’s learning levels across the curriculum. Teaching in a rural school allowed me to watch the progress of my students through their entire elementary experience. I used this opportunity to evaluate and alter my methods for teaching reading and writing. I look forward to working with others to support successful educators.
